The window decides the answer

Before you look at the windows

Global temperature has risen about 0.083 degrees per decade since 1880. Write down the biggest and smallest trend you think you could get from the same data.

Do not change this once you have written it. Being wrong here is the point — it is what makes the next part mean something.

  1. Where does this series start and end, and who chose that?

  2. What is the biggest and smallest answer you can honestly produce?

  3. What would you need to see in somebody else's chart to catch them doing this?

How I know

Point at the chart. Which part of it makes your answer true?
